In addition to the displayed Meiseki, there are many stones used as stepping stones and bridges in the garden. The stepping stones are arranged near the edge of the pond to allow visitors to get a panoramic view of the pond. The stepping stone paths turn to provide changing views as the visitor walks along them. They can be quite slippery in the rain and there was only one place with handrails. Large stones are also used as bridges in the pond. My favorite was two huge flattish stones used to create a zig-zag bridge.
